And the first impression thereof, which boils down to these points:

What I Didn't Quite Like About It

- Some of the acting was pretty stilted
- The really cool actors got SHAFTED, dammit! I wanted to see more Moody and Umbridge :(
- It's recognizable to fans and followers of the book, but those who don't go past the movie might be thrown out of the loop
- A lot of it felt simply pieced together. There are parts that have to show up because they're essential to the plot, and they're there, but more like patchwork rather than a well-knit work
- Certain really sad scenes came out.... kinda funny. Narm-ish, really.

What I Did Like

- The TRAVEL MONTAGES. The supposedly boring bits of the book got turned into REALLY AWESOMELY BLEAK SCENES THAT ARE BEAUTIFUL AND AWESOME AND APOCALYPTIC, END OF THE WORLD BEAUTIFUL
- The overall feel of DESPAIR and APOCALYPSE
- The ANIMATED RETELLING OF THE STORY OF THE DEATHLY HALLOWS. So damn PRETTY and AWESOME
- The CG and especially the SOUND EFFECTS. So much detail it is AWESOME
- Daniel Radcliffe has gone a really really long way from the cardboard kid in the first movie

It's 2 in the morning - my babbling is excused. Hopefully I'll be more coherent after my second viewing.
